John Drady, Founder
Vintner John Drady is President and the creative force behind Fire Station Red. As a volunteer firefighter with the Gold Ridge Fire Department in Sonoma County, John saw an opportunity to create a wine of outstanding quality that would appeal to current wine consumers, develop new consumers, honor fire service personnel, and contribute to fire department fund raising efforts.  “The response to Fire Station Red has been amazing,” Drady states enthusiastically.  “The wine community has embraced Fire Station Red wines.  Retailers, restaurateurs, and distributors are as excited about the quality of the wines as they are about the opportunity to link with their local fire departments and assist in fund raising efforts.”

Anthony Austin, Winemaker
Anthony Austin is Vice-President and oversees winemaking and vineyard grower relations for Fire Station Red and Sonoma Coast Vineyards. Anthony received his Enology degree from the University of California at Davis and continued his studies under the world-renowned winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff. As founding winemaker at Firestone Vineyards, he directed winemaking there from 1975 to 1982. Anthony is internationally acclaimed for his award winning wines—recognized by Wine & Spirits Magazine as America’s Best Pinot Noir, the London Wine Fair as World’s Best Chardonnay, and was awarded the coveted Masters of Wine International Double Gold for his Firestone Chardonnay.
